WBCG Spring Fair 2025

12th October 20205
The weather was glorious, the produce was bountiful and the plants were amazing.
We enjoyed live music with Bruce Watson, chomped on expertly cooked sausages, sipped our coffee and delicious Somali cha. There was some serious art in the forest and the kids had fun with snail races and chalk drawing.
There were lots of members and visitors enjoying our Spring Fair, including the member of Pascoe Vale, Anthony Cianflone and the mayor of Merri-bek, Helen Davidson. Helen officially marked the return of the Food Forest sign and the relocation of the fish swirl mural.
A great day all around and our thanks to everyone who contributed to its success.

A big thank you to all our supporters

2025 Permablitz

30th March 2025

Brunswick West Community Garden Hosted a Permablittz in the Dunstan Resrerve Food Forest.  With 35+ volunteers we cleared weeds, spread mulch, planted plenty of edible plants. Our Permablitz brought together so may from our community to make our shared green space even more incredible. It was wonderful to see community gardening and Permaculture in action. Thank you to all who volunteered and were involved.

A big thanks to our gardening experts Adam Grubb (https://veryediblegardens.com.au) and Karen Sutherland (https://edibleeden.com.au), who conducted short workshops on Permaculture, weed management and food plants.
